The digitalizes blog is about stuff that happens online. It is about providing information and advice to people who like to spend time online and who want to create, promote and develop their own online presence.

It is also about news and social media. It is about communicating and sharing useful information. It is about gadgets and gizmos. It is about the future and it is about the past. It is about expression. It is about personal development. It is about me, and it is about you.

So, who am I and what do I know?

I am based in the UK and until late 2007, I had worked in the search engine optimisation industry for five years. The majority of this time was spent managing a 15 man strong technical department which handles over 4,000 clients.

I put my first website online in 2001 and followed this with many more during the following years. I first used Blogger four years ago and WordPress three years ago. I have become a big fan of WordPress and recommend nothing else for would be bloggers/webmasters.

I have been making a full time living from my websites for over a year now and I am working hard to make sure this continues. The credit crunch has had a major impact on all sectors and it is becoming harder and harder to survive, but survive I will! I don’t fancy the idea of the daily commute again and it is that thought that drives me on!

I like to take photographs, travel, read, watch films, develop WordPress themes, listen to music, learn, ride my mountain bike and watch crashing waves on days when you should really be indoors.

I can’t promise that reading my blog is going to make you a millionaire and I can’t promise you that reading my blog is going to make your more intelligent, but I can promise you that my blog is honest…

I don’t know everything about this blogging malarkey, just as I don’t know everything about search engine optimisation or making money online, but I do know enough to not be taken in by the stuff I read and the links I follow. I know enough not to get my fingers burned and I know enough to keep the wolves from my door.

If you are new to blogging/webmastering you will certainly find some useful tips on my pages. If you have been blogging or webmastering for a while you will know that times can change very quickly and sharing and networking is an important part of keeping up with what’s going on. Hopefully, you too will also find something of interest.
