Guide to legal issues faced by web designers

by Stephen on December 18, 2008

.net magazine has published an interesting article about the legal issues web designers are likely to face during their career.

The article covers issues such as contracts, infringing patents, Trade Marks or other intellectual property. It also covers the legal issues around the Data Protection Act and the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act and has been written by specialist technology lawyer Philip Thompson, of White & Black.

It all sounds a little bit scary, but you can’t bury your head in the sand if you are taking web design seriously. The impact on you and/or your clients could catastrophic.
