One topic I have been reading and hearing more and more about over the past few months is membership sites. A lot of people have been talking about how important membership sites are likely to be in the future. They will provide value to their members, and will also provide a continuous income stream for the membership site owner.

Advertising, AdSense and selling affiliate products are all good ways to earn an income through a blog, but none of these are as reliable as a guaranteed income from paid members. The business model has been tried and tested at many different levels, and, even if you create a membership site that charges $5.00 per month, you can still earn a good income if you have enough members and provide them with information or a service they can use.
