After 3 years of being ripped off by millions of YouTubers, the Monty Python team has now launched its own YouTube channel complete with high quality clips from its movies and TV shows, as well as back slapping clips from Monty Python lovers (and why not?).
At the time of writing there are almost 50 clips available to watch and the channel is proving a massive success. Some videos have been viewed almost 500,000 times since the channel was launched in November 2008.
The Monty Python channel is part of the eCommerce platform for YouTube, which enables users to easily “click to buy” products like songs and films related to the videos they are watching. Since the launch of the Monty Python channel their videos have shot straight to the top of the “most watched” lists and their DVDs have been flying off the shelves at Amazon with increased sales of 23,000% (23k%).
